Enjoy the show
It was the second part of the workshop courses on Thursday, April 7th. The journalism course was working on their articles, when suddenly a loud noise started outside. Attracted from the sound of the drums the reporters looked outside the windows.
The whole music workshop was standing there offer a really great performance. The teacher was walking in front of them, blowing into a pipe. Even if they weren’t in tune the beat was.
The teacher, Bernd Wolf, explained that they are practicing a “Samba Batucada”*. They will also show it on the presentation evening.
Theresa Schüler, a member of the music workshop, said that they had been practising it since Monday with 17 students, only with rhythm instruments.
It seems like they had a lot of fun like the audience or better the reporters, who were clapping and dancing.
“It’s a damn phat feeling!” Tilman Wolf laughed. He was walking behind the group with another drum.
When they finished their performance the people, who were looking out of the window started to clap and scream.
So we can’t wait for their wonderful show tomorrow evening!!!
* Samba Batucada is a loud, fast form of Samba; this Samba has no bearing on the Samba Vaticana, which is created by the Journalism Workshop ;)
