German
During this week I attended the German language session.
The teachers who led this course were Mr. Paul Niehus and Mr. Jörg Pelzer. All in all we were about ten students from several countries: Italy, Poland, England and Spain.
The first things that we learned were greetings and other basic things like saying “How are you?” or what your age is. It was useful because now the people of our group are able to say and understand something in a new language.
For example, I can say a simple speech like the following one:
"Hallo! Ich heiße Elisa.
Ich bin siebzehn Jahre alt und ich komme aus Italien.
Ich wohne in Vicenza.
Meine Hobbys sind lesen, singen und Musik hören."
That means...
"Hi! My name is Elisa.
I'm seventeen years old and I'm from Italy.
I live in Vicenza.
My hobbies are reading books, singing and listening to music."
The only thing that wasn’t so good was the fact that the teachers said a lot of things in German and then they didn’t always translate it so sometimes it was difficult to follow them.
However, I’m sure we all had a great time and we’re happy we had the opportunity to learn something new.

Durante questa settimana ho frequentato le lezioni di tedesco.
Gli insegnanti che guidavano questo corso erano il professor Paul Niehus e il professor Jörg Pelzer. In totale, eravamo circa dieci studenti provenienti da diversi Paesi: Italia, Polonia, Inghilterra e Spagna.
Le prime cose che abbiamo imparato sono i saluti e altre espressioni basilari come il saper dire "How are you?" o la tua età. È stato utile perché ora le persone del nostro gruppo sanno dire e capire qualcosa di una nuova lingua.
Per esempio so fare un discorso molto semplice come il seguente:
"Hallo! Ich heiße Elisa.
Ich bin siebzehn Jahre alt und ich komme aus Italien.
Ich wohne in Vicenza.
Meine Hobbys sind lesen, singen und Musik hören."
Che vuol dire...
"Ciao! Mi chiamo Elisa.
Ho diciassette anni e vengo dall'Italia.
Vivo a Vicenza.
I miei interessi sono leggere, cantare e ascoltare musica."
L’unica cosa che non era molto bella era il fatto che gli insegnanti dicessero molte cose in tedesco e poi non traducessero sempre; di conseguenza, a volte non era facile seguirli.
Comunque, sono sicura che tutti ci siamo divertiti e siamo contenti di aver avuto l’opportunità di imparare qualcosa di nuovo.
